Bienvenue & Welcome to the Shetie Forums from a fellow Canadian... in Vancouver. I am quite new to the world of sheltie ownership... but I adored the way you described it and feel even more certain that I have a very special little dog on my hands!

Bonjoir Marie-Eve

I lived most of my life in Quebec, 7 years Vancouver, the last year and a half USA.
I have no human friends or family in the US so my 2 Shelties are what keep me happy and give me company every day.

Thanks for the compliment about Cranboy. He was from a Thanksgiving Day litter in 2009 and as soon as I saw his pic (like, the day after they were born), I contacted the breeder and expressed my interest. I'd been thinking about adding a third dog as my mix boy and Callie, my rescue girl were/are getting older. I wasn't too sure about adding another adult and then there was my lil man- so I thought it was perfect. I really liked the Thanksgiving theme name and so Cranberry it was. Then, my mix got really sick this summer and I lost him to cancer. While Callie tolerates Cran's presence, she refuses to play with him so this fall, Cran's sister Dixie came home with us to be Cran's playmate. I kinda liked Dixie as a call name and used the turkeyday theme in her registered name: Angelic Pumpkin n Sweet Potato Pie.
