Kelly, can we close this thread?

Many of us contributed to this particular thread and it seems to be leading nowhere.

I think it's time to close it before it leads to any further animosity.

I think all the advice that we have to give has been given, and its up to Fedace now to determine which advice to accept.

Thanks alot
Barb

The Final Word

I hope this information posted about the prong collar goes no further, and not another person feels the need to use one on a sheltie. It's like swatting a mosquito with a baseball bat. Take your dog to obedience classes, and duh.... train yourself. Put in the time. People have been very forthcoming with wonderful advice, recommending great books, etc. Train yourself first. With the right instruction all can be turned around. REMEMBER IT'S A SHELTIE, NOT A ROTTWEILER. Enough!

Connie has said it all. Shelties do not need prong collars! We always said in the horse world that there are no bad horses, just bad riders. The same is true of dogs. Dogs are blank slates. It's the trainers who need work.

And yes, Barb, consider this topic closed.
