rabies lump

I just wanted some feedback from you guys. My puppy had a rabies vaccine last Friday and now she has a lump near to the site. I've called 2 vets and they've both told me it is a common reaction and may take a couple of months to disappear. It is a semi-soft/hard, mobile lump. Has anyone had their dogs experience this type of symptom related to the rabies vaccine?

We had a boxer that we had this happen too. Scared us, but the vet said it was ok and would go away. It was and it did ;)

The same thing happened to my Sheltie Angel, Jewel. I use to massage the area and apply warm cloths.:rolleyes2: It's basically caused by poor absorption at the site . It goes away without any of the massaging and compresses as well. It just made me feel like I was helping.:o:lol:

My Cali's first rabies shot left her with a huge hard lump at the site that took about a week to go away. It only bothered her for the first day or two so just keep an eye on it to make sure it does not get any worse. She got her 3 year shot today and although her butt is a bit sore, there is no lump at the site what so ever.
