Rally Novice Brag

Congratulations on Chloe's first Rally title and to your daughter who handled her!

Just by chance, was this event held in Ramsey, NJ? If so, then big kudos to the team!

Yes! I was there! I did see a couple of shelties that competed in Rally, but I didn't have a catalog then so I didn't know one was yours!

I have to tell you though, I entered the Rally and Obedience A room and thought I was going to get a migraine. The noise level was unbearable and the amount of people with so many dogs bumping into each other. It was a complete zoo. When I came across the lady with the fully grown Irish Wolfhounds, yes plural!!--she's holding several by their leashes while trying to practice a 360 with another--I knew I had to leave. It was a tangled mess and she was practicing right in front of the doorway. I truly don't know how anyone could have competed successfully in that environment. Huge Kudos to your daughter and to Chloe!! She must not have one ounce of noise sensitivity!

I was there for the Obedience B classes which were held on a different floor. They, too, were not so quiet. It must have been the acoustics in the rooms. I will post a brag later and will write about the rally venue.

I missed seeing you at the SS club at the Park and now at Ramsey!! One day we'll have to meet!

I totally saw the lady with the four Irish wolfhounds!

We were pretty easy to spot. I was wearing a bright red Rutgers T-shirt with an Alaska baseball cap and my daughter had on a turqoise t-shirt that said Sheltitude. We were hanging around in the Rally room right next to guy who was taking pictures (between him and the door out of the room). Our Chloe is a sable and white. We also hung outside in the field for awhile (out of the room where the obedience was).

Chloe is pretty calm, so she wasn't to excited about the noise level or crowds, but it was definitely a crazy crazy place. Thanks for the compliment, though! It was definitely hectic for us, especially since we got there at 11:30 and didn't compete until 3:30. Chloe is a good girl.

We saw lots of shelties too. I saw a blue merle walk by when we were outside, a tri-colored that was being worked by another junior, two shelties that were by their car that was parked along the lower field, and.....can't remember too many more right now.

We will definitely have to meet up sometime!

Later!
Dani
