Hello!
Poor Tobsters was diagnosed with Red Mange this week
Thankfully it's just localized on his right ear, the vet here in Quanzhou is pretty hopeful that it's just a one time deal and won't require maintenance drugs. He's currently taking antibiotics once a day for the next 3 weeks.. we also have a topical and a spray we're supposed to use twice a day for the next two to three months.
Just wondering if anyone else out there has dealt with this before. Apparently it's a hereditary issue (Toby was a puppy mill rescue, poor guy) and we plan on getting him fixed a couple weeks after we get back to the States.
We've started him on a skin&coat supplement hoping it will help- any specific brands stateside that seem to work really well? We're willing to try anything that can boost his immune system and make him less itchy soon! I can't wait until we can get him to an American vet...
