Well entered three rally trials with Deja this weekend at Whitehorse. She did amazing! We got two of her three Qs.

DW took her in Friday on the first event and got a Q with a score of 72. She was very nervious but managed to keep it together. I took Deja in on Saturday and well.. I blew it. The event started at 1pm and Deja was also due in the conformation ring. I did the walkthrough quickly and rushed over to help with last minute grooming. She did her class and then group and then our handler rushed her over to me to do the Rally.

Did you know that in Rally the signs go START, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc..

not START, 1, 2, 3, 9, 10.. I felt totally dumb. The sad part was that Deja was performing wonderfully!! Her fronts and heels were sharp and spot on. Her attention was solid! ARG..

So Sunday we go in again. This time there's no distractions and I do the walk-through three times just to visualize it.. Again, Deja is spot on! She starts with me tight and looks up with those amazing eyes.. "We can DO it Daddy!!" and we are off..

The first sign is a halt then fast.. OMG! Did I really forget to have her sit completely?! ARG!! 14 signs to go and I blow 10 points on the first sign..

Deja doesn't seem to mind. She isn't freeking out but is ready to go. And go we do! She rocked the rest of the course. We ended with a score of 81 and got her second rally Q!

All in all it was a great weekend and we just had a blast!

Good job on the Qs. You know that any NQs are always the handler's fault. :wink2: Don't feel too bad. I'm certain Deja has already forgiven you.

I forgot that you had gone international for this show. I understand about the whole Canadian counting thing. Maybe next time you should ask for an interpreter.

Congrats on your 2 legs.:smile2:

I always lose more points than my dogs. To make you feel better, I NQ'd Justice in Rally on a left turn. Yes a left turn. I did one sign and just kind of drifted over to the left and never approached the sign. Sigh. He would have had a 100 too if I wasn't so stupid. I've turned the wrong way on signs several times. My favorite, we were supposed to do a 270 to the right and I did a 270 to the left and run into the wall.:rolleyes2: Alittle later in that run, Justice flew over the jump and took off and I called him back and he did a 360 to the left, right in front of the sign to do a 360 to the left before he came back. A little boy in the crowd yelled that dog can read! As I was leaving the ring, my friend snickered at me"That dog can read, too bad the handler can't"

Congratulations on the Q's! Sounds like Deja bounced back from the errors very well and showed you how much confidence and trust she has in you. :smile2:

Congrats -- and I am so impressed that you focused on the fun, not the points! You are so cool!!!
