Riley Agility Update

I haven’t posted in a while but I thought I would give and update on Riley. Last January we started trialing agility with CPE. We have completed Level 1 and have the Level 2 Handler and Fun Games titles. I am hoping next weekend to complete Level 2.

We have also been trialing AKC sincentives June. We are in Excellent Jumpers and we got our 1st leg right after Christmas. In Standard we are in Open and have 2 legs. I am hoping to get into a trial on Valentine’s Day weekend and finish Open Standard.

I entered a few Obedience trials and Riley also got his Beginner Novice Obedience title!

Tomorrow we are going to try our first USDAA trial! We will be running Gamblers, Standard and Snooker! It should be fun, but I am nervous as I have heard USDAA is very challenging.

The USDAA trial went well. We ran Starters Gamblers, Standard and Snooker. Gamblers was very close to a Q. The course time was 41.00 and we had 41.09! We were able to use it for some good contact practice. Standard was we had an off course because Riley decided to bark at the judge and then took the A frame instead of the tunnel. Snooker was the last run and we Q'ed with 45 points!

It is funny to get our first Q in Snooker because that is my least favorite CPE event. I think I am starting to like snooker better now:)

We have a 3 day CPE trial next weekend and then nothing until the first weekend in February which will be USDAA.

I see you were competing on 26 December! That is Boxing Day for us here, another holiday. But I must admit if there was an agility competition on that day I would be there!

Way to go! Snooker is definitely my least favorite event. But, it's my husband's favorite! Go figure!
