RIP Cricket

I bawled my eyes out when I saw the video. Dear sweet Cricket felt like part of the family. I came straight here when I heard. Can't believe she was only 13, felt like we'd been watching her for so much longer.

I feel his pain:cry:

Destin had a followup with his cardiologist yesterday and he's status quo but CHF is likely how I will lose him. the vet said that once fluid buildup starts around the heart, that it's just a matter of time at that point. but the meds should keep that from happening for a while................................

Oh God I am bawling. On top of the grief for my husband this news is so awful. What a beautiful girl and loved by so many. I feel his pain acutely. And Denice, I'm sorry about Destin as well.
Thanks Sharon:hugs
sad news like that can trigger lots of emotions. I can't even imagine how many people watch the Cricket Chronicles and have loved her from afar. I am glad that he took the time to record that episode to share the news even though it must have been so hard....................

I remember the Cricket chronicles and laughed. She was such a great actor and she could speak!!. Sooo very sorry to hear about her passing. My very first Sheltie, that I inherited from an uncle, died of congestive heart failure one night in my arms, sitting on the floor of the mud room. I recognized the symptoms you spoke about. I have been owned by Shelties ever since then. What a great life Cricket had in a wonderful home that loved her and kept her busy and filled her life with all sorts of fun and stimulating things. She had a great life for all her life and passed in loving arms. All of my dogs have found their way into my heart and when they past they left holes and holes became scars. But those scars are not flaws but marks where stories live and songs and memories and love. So many here know what your are going thru and we, in our own way, journey with you. Again, so very sorry to hear of her passing.
