Sad day for rescue...

The foster mom is healing well, but she has declined to take any more dogs. This really shook her up. She does greyhound rescue but will not be taking any shelties in the future.... We dont' blame her but I certainly wish she would reconsider. One bad experience is no reason to quit. I've been bitten so many times I can't count and most of those times I either made a mistake in handling the dog, or didn't take the time I should have to protect myself.

I can imagine that it really shook her up. It is so soon since this situation, that she may come around in time. I will continue to keep her in my thoughts that she can recover from this.

What a horrible situation for everyone. At times like this its important to focus on all the shelties that you're able successfully rehome.

And I'm sure Penny is in a much happier place right now, free of pain and fear.
