Sandstorm has arthritis we THINK

Cosequin is an excellent supplement for glucosamine and condritin. Every dog over age 7 should be on some form of that. I had to switch from Cosequin when Barkley decided he wouldn't eat it any more so now I use Bone and Joint Suport from Natures Farmacy. It's the same as Cosequin with some other homeopathics added and I've been very happy with how they do on it.

For intermittent lameness, you might get some T-Relief which is zeel, a homepathic made for pain (it's a human medication that many dogs take). There's also a T-Relief form for arthritis. One works better than the other for each dog, you almost have to try both. I use that as well and just toss one pill in the food twice a day for soreness; once a day for maintenance.

We used Vibrant Pets when the gang was younger. As they have aged (Layla and Bitsy), we changed. After Layla's surgery for her elbows, we didn't need anything for a long while. Now she uses Metacam as needed -- she's been cleared for daily use. Bitsy has severe arthritis. She goes to the chiropractor as needed and takes Gabapentin twice daily. Beckon doesn't need anuthing yet, and since Penny is on fish oil for her coat, we hope that transfers to her joint health as well.
