Holy cow! I didn't think about how fast they're running. Don't get me wrong, I've seen flyball, just never thought time wise, how fast they were going.

Poor Spitfire, sounds like he needs a team of 3 second dogs to get that 1 pt.

    Thanks for the explanation.

Oh. So he won't run at all?

I remember the first time I was introduce to flyball. It was with Miko. Miko who has no drive, but wants to please you. He amble over the jumps, gently (cuz he does everything gently), place his paws on the box. That, of course, would not trigger the ball, so he'd paw at the ball until it came loose. Pick it up. That he did happily, then trot back wanting to play fetch. :rolleyes2:

Poor Spitfire. Well, at least he gets to sit on Sca.

I'm not sure exactly where he is in his training. The last video I saw, he kept getting distracted.

He will never race. To give you an idea, he was going down grabbing the ball off the box and getting some speed through the jumps. Even triggered the box a few times. Last time nothing. Why you ask. Well the team captain who normally box loads at practice was tired and asked her husband to for Spitfire. So things were 'different' which is not allowed in his world. He even likes Jerry and goes to see him but he was not supposed to be on the box.

So yeah distracted is a kind word for Spitfire  But we love him anyway.

What?! You changed things? How dare you. I'm speaking for Spitfire obviously. But yeah, I can see how that could make things a little difficult. Oh well. Maybe he can be captain of the non-changing....um.....let me think about that one. Haha!

He probably got his retirement papers after the last practice.
