It's that time of year again... fleas and ticks.
I know a few folks who have already pulled ticks off dogs, ourselves included. (CJ's a tick magnet.)
On the advice of our vet and a number of agility friends we decided to try the Seresto collar instead of topicals which I hate using for various reasons. Our vet actually recommends this over an above any topical out there.
I've made the investment in them and the collar is supposed to last for 8 months (which takes us into December). They actually cost just a little more than a 6 month supply of a topical but hopefully will work better and last (2 month) longer.
Has anyone else tried these on their Shelties? If so, what's your experience? Ticks are a major problem in my area - at least 1 dog comes back with a "friend" from every agility trial we go to - so finding something that works is very important.
