Shelby's repeat urine test

Well after about 3 weeks of adding water to her food I took another urine sample in. Lets just say getting the sample was an experience in itself. I am sure I gave the neighbors something to talk about.

Well the vet called yesterday and left a message to call him back to discuss the results. DH and I were panicked b/c last time we had a message like this it was to tell us Hollie was dying. So I call and of course he is busy. Several hours later I call again, now he is busy with emergencies don't know when or if he will call. Vet tech says "i can't tell you anything" Now I am really worried.

This morning I call as soon as they open and speak with office manager who tells me the vet is not in until Monday! Now I am furious!!! I kindly ask her to please tell me the results. Which she tells me are the same as 3 weeks ago but less crystals!!! So everything is normal and the extra water is working.

Why could't the vet just say that on the message? Why did he have to make us worry like that? I still have to call on Monday b/c he wants to talk to me about the results. Any other time they just leave the results on the machine!!!!

But I am relieved to see that the increased water is helping. We may just need to add a little more.

Glad to hear that Shelby's test results came back normal. It's too bad that the message was not just left for you, especially since the news was good. Thank goodness my vet does not do these things, OR I should say she hasn't been that way yet. Congrats on Shelby's good results.

I know from plenty of experience how frustrating doctors, in general, can be. If you're waiting for test results, they're always insanely difficult to reach and some will get you all worked up for nothing. So glad you got some good news about Shelby!
