Shelties moving things around the house..

The only thing my two crazy ones try to move is my husband and me--they want us in the same room, preferably on the same couch.
However, my 18 month grandson is moving all his toys into the two crates, and likes to play in them, especially the one that has the top that opens up! George and Gracie don't seem to mind!

Interesting indeed...... How clever is she...... Imaginative with her choices and where to put them...wouldn't you love to get inside their heads and see their logic in what and why they do such silliness??The only thing Treesa moves around is her "babies"...... We can put them in her room and slowly but surely the "gang" is back in the living room...where she feels they belong :biggrin2:

These stories are great! You have no idea how many times I also said I need to install a camera to go on America's funniest videos!

One more quirky little reason to love this breed lol.
 
My young sheltie would hoard stuff in his crate - all sorts of things. Toys, socks, a cardboard box, a carrot from the bunny cage. His favorite thing was to 'help' me fold laundry by stealing some of it and putting it in his crate.

He doesn't hoard stuff in the crate so much anymore, but he will still 'help' me fold laundry by bringing it downstairs one piece at a time and leaving it in the kitchen.

He also will bring toys on my bed at night (he sleeps with me now). I've woken up many a time to find _ALL_ of his toys on the bed with us. He must bring them up all night long.

They're funny, aren't they ? :lol:

Awww.... that is so normal for Shelties. My Sandi used to steal my slipper and hid every time in different places. We were amazed how creative she was. Frankly it took us quite awhile to find it. LOL Just one slipper, and only mine - not hubby's or daughter's. I guess she realized we'd find anyway and she lost interest. LOL Her foster mom said to me she was probably playing games with you.. should not call it "steal". LOL Now she takes my daughter's slipper and carries it all over the house, does NOT hide.

Leo is a hoarder, in particular he enjoys other beds to be on top of his/Toffee's bed... He always takes all the crate liners from the crates, his and Toffee's at the earliest opportunity. All blankets, any socks, various shoes and toys should be piled on that bed, too...

OMG! How very funny! I can't stop laughing reading your post. LOLOL Almost visualize this happening with your dogs.. LOL Sandi is a hoarder too. I think it's in their DNA. She chases airplanes and trucks in the dog park we take her to.. She is famous there by that. LOL Everybody is watching her running crazy when a plane flies over.
