What's the best and latest puppy shot schedule?

Cubby was started with shots at 6 weeks so I need to go from there. Multi shot -- bordatella (school wants to have it for the young ones) -- rabies

Thanks.

My puppy's breeder is also a Vet and she said (and i might be wrong - I have terrible memory): 8 weeks (before going home), 12 weeks and 16 weeks and then their annual boosters :)

Does the breeder have anything in her contract? Fillion's was very specific. No lepto, no corona, rabies given separate. And while my wonderful vet agreed with her (except for separating the rabies shot for a different time--although he did it to honor the contract), had I just gone in for puppy shots Fillion would have gotten the whole shebang. And as a post script, although the vet said the rabies shot was the least reactive of them--that is the one that made Fillion sick. So I will defer to her knowledge of her line.

I was thinking 6, 10, 14 (multi & bord. at 10 & 14), and rabies alone at 16. We will do snakebite next spring.

IF the pup as 10 & 14 is that good enough to "hit the window" for parvo & distemper protection.

I did read that after 12 weeks is the safe enough point for distemper and parvo protection but thought I would check. I want to make sure we hit the window OK with that 14 week final shot.

Until 10 weeks he is not leaving the house -- monks, fear phase, but I am having several guests visit to play with him here. At 10 weeks after his shots I thought we might cruise through hobby lobby being carried before going home. At 14 I thought we might cruise home depot being carried before going home.

Last parvo/distempter should be given at/past 16 weeks.

I do 8, 12, 16 weeks. You can titer after that to see if a 20 month booster is needed. Then titer or revaccinate in 1 year and then every 3 years or based on titers. Risk of behavior issues due to lack of socialization vs disease exposure risk tips after 12 weeks so get those puppies out.nervous have your vet do a in house titer. I would tell the difference between maternal and acquired immunity but you can tell if they have an adequate titer.

Rabies at 20 weeks since it is not required here until 6 months but can be given at 4-6 months. Bordarella after the parvo/distempter is done.

No corona. Lepto, lyme based on risk assessment.

I spent some time doing math and found a schedule to land him in the right places at the right times. I will be calling vet and scheduling several visits over the next 2 months.

And YES! This puppy is going to be out and about as well as have visitors here. I am already lining up people for home visits and I have plenty of locations for "carry throughs". We can meet people, we can see and hear things. Being he is carriable, he will be getting to go places the larger shepherd couldn't.

As I told the breeder, he will be going many many many places all carefully engineered to be positive and interesting. We want to learn early that the world and people are fun. We are going to enroll in kinder after that so we can interact even more with people and other pups. We have our friend who will have a pup too so we have built in play dates. Of course, there are my other two dogs.

This is the schedule I follow as well. It is also well documented that the last parvo/distemper must be at or after the 16 weeks for immunity to take place.
