Snow Eating

Forrest has a notebook of all the snow in the neighborhood, like a wine guide but for snow. He says the snow at Maya's house is best, but that may be because she is on the other side of the fence barking wildly as he gobbles her snow up! He's not crazy about the snow at Elmer Fudd's house (we don't know his name but he sure resembles Elmer Fudd :biggrin2:), I think because Patches pees in the front yard. He samples it everywhere.

After a long drive up north once, where he threw up 7 times in what should have been a 5 hr ride, he found a lonely patch of snow at the cabin and ate it like it was candy. It melted overnight & he was pretty bummed out when he ran over to that spot looking for his daily snow fix.

Ice cubes? Meh, that's not snow Mom, it's some wannabe snow.

how about snow cones...I am waiting to see if those are a hit this summer with my pups, in some of the parks, there are remnants on the ground and my previous girls were always trying to snag those...shaved ice from pop drink leftovers were also worth sneaking when the family wasn't looking. Didn't matter if they were a BIG NO....they would do time for that crime, gladly...

Another snow eater over here - Hanna asks to go out on the deck about 20 times a day. She seems to go after the fresh stuff, and it's not an issue on walks. She also loves to find a nice deep spot to pee in.

On our morning walk today we met up with Lincoln, a Golden that lives down the hall from us. Oberon and Lincoln loved playing in the 4-5 inches of new snow -- and the play included both of them tunneling into and eating bunches of snow, rolling around in it and then licking it off of each other, etc. Lincoln's owner and I couldn't stop laughing at how much fun the 2 of them were having with it :smile2:
