So I have some news~

Looks like a cool set up. Love that guy with aussie using paw pods for waiting time, very cute.
Sounds like Trapp will be doing agility in no time...

yep- keep telling yourself that- you can quit anytime......................

We went today,as yesterday it rained. I really do have to say he just makes me so proud. He just does everything really well. Definately knows what is being asked of him.
My confession is that I for one..am nervous cause I don't know what I am doing.
2- I forget right from left...
3-I talk to much
4-my feet have to learn not to move

When Tom took Trapp and went thru some of the more difficult stations,he did so well, and Tom was very pleased at how well he reacted to him. I do think I am going to totally love it,and I already feel that Trapp does already.

He also took Trapp and did some low jumps, and also 2x2 weaves. He caught on very quickly, but still along time down the road,as I have so much to learn.

After an hour of being there, suddenly Trapp just checked out. He was tired. Even calling him back to me,he slowed down, and you could see he had enough.
I got over my nervousness, and he was off leash the whole time,(it is fenced) but a very large, large area. And he did really well staying close, until he got tired, then you could almost see his mind wandering and not focused.

Yep..not quitting...definately fun!

Thought I would give an update on Trapp's progress. My directional issues are way improved, which makes for a less confused dog..what a differance.!

Trapp was introduced to the teter,A-frame last night, did the teter 2x of course being held onto by both Tom & I. We of course prevented the teter from banging when he reached the other end. But he really did well.

A-frame,a little more anxiety when approaching it,and we only let him go as far as he was comfortable. I don't want to scare him,so when I saw his body language change, off he came. But he at least put his feet up on both pieces without to much hesitation.

He did weaves last night, slowly, but he went all the way.I really did not even have to coax him thru.He never missed a pole, but you could tell,he was really thinking the whole time.
Which for me,was to cool to see the look on his face.

Rally training is going well,I find it a great help,as I have much to learn. One...I need to talk less. Be specific, and don't overload with to many words. I can see how a dog would be confused, with to much info.
When Tom takes Trapp thu stations,he does really well. BUT...we did find an issue, and not sure how to fix it.

On a come front,go around to the right,Trapp's mind kicked in,and thought he was going out for frisbee. All of a sudden he just had this mindset..maybe a frisbee was going to appear, and out he went. So obviously,we have lots to control..

We worked ALOT on his recall, and stays. Which I know Tom was working on him staying, for agility purposes & also rally. Man this dog will sit/stay with me walking the length of my yard with a frisbee in my hand. But with no frisbee, his butt will not stay put. But after about 4-5x he got it,and did so much better.
Other than loads of fun..and Trapp had his eye on me the whole time,no matter what we were doing.I found that just a huge improvement..he was looking at me,waiting for the next cue.
