OK, so Beau is still, most of the time, wonderful on walks (as long as I see the rabbits before him); he is great in stores and somewhat better with our birds (who are nowhere he can get too near). BUT the rabbit that was gone all late summer and early fall has returned and with it, Beau's reactivity. He barks constantly at the door, the window, and fence runs outside when he is not jumping at the fence separating the garden from him where the rabbit goes. Whenever he is running and barking like crazy in the house I can be sure the rabbit is in the yard. Other than take him out on a leash at all times I don't know what to do. On a leash he can be controlled and behaves most of the time. I click and treat for non-reactivity but once I let go of the leash he is off and so fast he cannot be caught. I used to like rabbits <sigh>
So the rabbit is back in our yard and Beau has regressed

Hey, What is the matter with you! Rabbits are Huge Entertainment! Rabbits make his day! Silly human that you don't appreciate all the effort he goes to to alert and protect you!
I fortunately only have to endure this kind of thing once a day. Phoebe goes wacko over the mail truck. It is a high point in her day.

Not to mention chase the varmit away and/or try and catch it to play with. I guess I just don't appreciate 100 mile an hour dash diagonally across my yard for 45 minutes straight as he evades an attempt at capture and can be heard 4 blocks away. I am only a silly human, what do I know?

Our little Jasmine loved to chase squirrels and rabbits out of our yard... it seemed to be her mission to get them out!
She just ran them off... never barked at all. Maybe she thought being stealthy was the best way to surprise them and remove them from the yard. She was so proud of herself as she trotted back to us as if to say... how about that! They are no match for me!
Sounds like you are doing all the right things... I would go nuts if the barking was constant too! Looks like you might need to chase the bunny away before he notices?
