spitting up water

the title is pretty self explanatory, or at least i think so. We have noticed that when our puppy drinks a lot of water, he spits some of it back up just after finishing. Do we just need to limit how much water he gets at once? I dont think it happens when we just give him small amounts. Is this a normal/common thing? Should limiting his water at one time fix this?

Just like a baby who spits up formula, your little one is spitting up water. I'd give him smaller drinks until he's a bit older.

Pyper did the same thing when she was a baby. I think they just drink too much and up it comes. She's fine now....9 months old.
