Spruce First Agility Trial

Yes, you're completely correct and unfortunately I'm currently not with my instructor since I moved :(
Of course I value your feedback!
My Challenge is confidence, he is a bit more drivier during training, it's tough to recreate the environment of a trial.
He has become more handler focused ever since I started freestyle lol, and haven't worked much on agility due to weather, move, ice until recently in the backyard and all kindsa other excuses, hahahaha
My takeaway was actually exactly to work more on value for the obstacle as well, I was slightly disappointed he didn't drive harder to be honest... so it could have been me and my babying, lol, for sure. He has however a tendency to completely go stockstill and just stand there if he's unsure and I didn't want that experience. I swear this lil dingdong is preparing me for a sighthound, bahahahah, he works hard but short :D
This was at a fun match back in November... but it wasn't a trial yet

I am going back to reward more frequently after shorter sequences but more independent lines :D

You know he has done that stand stock still thing since he was a baby. The show training didn't help it. He sort of reminds me of Celtic his nephew. Drive but it short circuits if he gets frustrated.

It is funny I went back to obedience class with Birch laat week and it was helpful getting him back intune with me. We had the best class we'd have had in months. His Dad on the other hand gets super sticky if he does much obedience. Each dog is so difference.

Good job with the blue goofball.

haha, yeah you cannot force this blue goofball to do anything he doesn't wanna do :D
I remember that was one of the things you've always told to me why you didn't pick Spruce even tho he was more of a show prospect, haha even tho it turns out they are more alike than you originally thought, hehehehe

I can work with this, and I think he's more like his Dad Grizz that way as you observed, he gets way more clingy the more 'obedience' I do, hahaha
So once I get more agility training in, I believe it will be better
