Squirrel and bird chasing

Oh mine chase squirrels. We have one that loves to play catch me if you can.

He/she is adorable, and I tell them Rocky is out there. The squirrel runs the fence back and forth, and the shelties run the line with Rocky.

The only thing that is bad about Rocky he/she loves to play under the covered patio, and poops on my furniture out there. He/she also runs the rail on the neighbor's deck in the back of me when they aren't outside.

The way these two of mine circle and herd that squirrel in the tree waiting for it to come down is a riot.

The birds they don't bother with much.

Oddly enough they seem to have a good relationship with the birds. Squirrels and other rodents are considered chasing toys. The favorite seems to be chasing the squirrels down the fence line and watching as they jump to the trees.

I don't find it distracts from potty time. In fact it often encourages them to go when they don't want to get off the porch. They will stop mid chase and go.
