Today was the first day of the St Croix Valley cluster at the Washington Co fair grounds in Lake Elmo Mn. Diva is showing in obedience and Jamie and Cassi breed. Unfortunately, it was 1 dog shy of a major in dogs so Grizz had to be pulled. Dang.

Diva was so close in obedience, she couldn't find the dumbbell on the retrieve over the high , but then found it turned around and ran to the judge, looked up noticed it wasn't me and then ran to me but unfortunately went around the jump. She passed everything else. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

The breed show was put on by the Northstar Herding Group Club. It was a herding specialty. Jaime took his class and then WD for 2 points under judge Mark Houston-McMillian. He now has 10 pts. Yeah Double digits. :smile2:

Cassi didn't show very well today. She was a bit wild and not listening. Rachel said she needs to work with her a bit more. It was their first offical time in the ring togther so over all a good learning experience.

2 more days of showing to go for Jaime and Cassi and 1 more for Diva. Hopefully we will have more news to report.


Oh BTW the BOB sheltie BISS GCH Ch Serendity's Walk in the Park(Walker) won the Best in Show(just herding). It was neat to see a sheltie win as it doesn't happen to often. Beautiful dog. He gets better everytime I see him.

Thats wonderful news with Jamie he'll be done soon, too bad with Diva though...maybe she was just letting the judge get a close up of how cute she is!:winkgrin:

No exciting news to report today. Diva NQ on her heeling in obedience. Sigh.:( Fortunately I don't have it on video so I don't have to remember it. Someone was playing tug outside the ring and I kept hearing them say "get it" "get it" so Diva decided she should just cruise up and down the ring barrier looking for the fun instead of stick with me. Of course, she did everything else. Back to the drawing bord.:( She is due to come into season soon so I'll have to wait to enter my next show until after she is done.

Jaime didn't do anything today, judge was looking for something different(*cough*..sable:wink2:). Cassi showed better today but got 3rd in the open AOAC not quite as well as she did yesterday.

I did get a few pictures of Jaime showing today. Cell phone quality sorry.

Sorry to hear about the lack of Qs and placement today.

Jaime looks great! Love the movement shot. He just glides.
