Ania - yep, thats what happens now, the signal to run is a hand drop. I started doing it because they kept moving when the judge said 'go' so now they aren't allowed to move without a hand signal (at flyball we say 'go' to have them run). Problem is, it is so easy for me to forget to keep my hand up when I am walking ahead.
People were commenting on what a silly move that was to cross the line, plus making sure I knew that DQd me. Tully is a bit of a favourite at the agility trials because she is currently the smallest dog in our trial class, and she looks good when she runs. One person said to me Tully looked good on the course shame I DQd her. Almost all the people doing agility trialling are very experienced, they are in lower levels because their dogs are young and I think it disappoints them to see a good dog with a bad handler. Plus the judge was being very lenient for us newbies, so she came up later and explained about crossing the line and said if I ever crossed the line after her call it would be an automatic DQ (so maybe we didnt DQ on that).
