Stinky butt pup! Sign of something wrong?

they don't always scoot when they're having anal gland issues. Callie hasn't had any issues but Happy has. I occasionally take him to the vet to get it taken care of. Some breeds might be more prone- my friends got a puppy a while ago (not a sheltie) and the breeder showed them how to express the anal glands because the dog would need it to be done regularly. Generally, groomers will take care of it while they are being bathed. could be the problem- when they don't empty when she poops, then you have the smell. when they do empty, no smell. I would probably get her checked out by the vet- might be some other issues there.

Sometimes pus or blood will come out when they are expressed.
