Subtle invitation to play.

Although Willow has been walked and played with lots today, when she's in the mood, she's not shy about recruiting playmates. Here she is working on mom.

She only gave up because I was standing in the doorway filming her making me an easier target for conscription.

I believe that Willow thinks we're a bit dense and that a direct approach is needed to prompt us into doing what she wants.

well, she could be right. shelties understand English (or whatever language you use with them) better than we understand Sheltie

She's certainly leaving no doubt what she wants! Clever girl Willow, you get those hoomons trained

LOL yes Meadow also has learned the direct approach is best - hold your toy in your mouth and poke your human with your nose until they play with you. I'm sure what Willow wants, Willow gets!

Mom!!! Mom!! Mooooom!!!!!

This is another favorite technique for soliciting play. She keeps bringing toys, shoes, her towel, and anything else that's in easy reach until we give in and get up to play tug of war or chase.

If you ignore her, the pile just keeps growing:

Her face in this pic-its like she’s thinking ‘which toy does hooman want I’ve brought so many. Finicky hoomans sigh’
