Are your Shelties sun worshipers? Willow loves to find a patch of sunlight to lie in. When she first came home, lying on hot air registers was her favored sleeping spot but now that she's bigger she tries to find a pool of sunshine to lie in.

What a silly girl lol. Of my three the only one who'll lay in the sun is Riley, he absolutely loves to lay in the sun...doesn't matter the temperature. There's times when it's been 30+ degrees out and he's laying in the full sun! Drives me crazy, you'd think he was a cat!
 
My Toby is not often a fan of being in the sun but we do live in Florida. He disliked a lot of last summer (his first real summer. He's only 1 1/2 years old) He often wanted to go inside for the air conditioning but always hesitated if no one else was going in. Being a sheltie he didn't want to separate himself from everybody! But throughout our winter he loves lying outside, sometimes in the sun, more often in the shade.20181109_083411_Film1-1.jpg
 
Of my 3 I would say Faith is the sunbather. She gets lots of chances in Southern California, even in the winter. She likes to stretch way out so it warms her tummy. :)
 
Brodie does hit all the sunny spots in the kitchen/dinette area. We shall see if that changes once the weather does!

Our doxie, Kooper, hates being outdoors and is 100% an indoor dog. We force fresh air on him. Our other doxie, Buddy, used to LOVE the outdoors, fetch (hubby would practice his putting in the yard and Buddy was his ball retriever), walks, and used to sunbathe mid-summer on the black driveway in the sun - growling at me if I tried to move him.

Time will tell what Brodie will be like, but so far, man does he LOVE being outside! Rain, snow, ice, mud, have not fizzed him.
 
Minnie is absolutely no sunbather :no:

but sometimes on the very hottest days
- at the hottest time of day
- in the very warmest corner of the garden - I can find her there :confused2:
 
Shelby is not a sunbather. She hates being warm and we will often find her laying in the bed of ferns, you on,y can see her little face sticking out through the plants .

Hollie I’m the other hand loved being warm. She would lay on the black driveway in the middle of summer.
