OMG yes. All four of mine do this and it drives me crazy.

Nike is the patron saint of good behavior. The worst he does is tissue dismantling.

The AKK however are demolition machines. Bras, pants, papers, blankets, fences, garden plants, anything and everything contained in the ever-exciting ziploc bag, cell phone cover, yarn balls, collars, harnesses, baby gates...all have been damaged or destroyed (and I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot!). The WORST however is Honor. I swear that she has Jedi powers, because she makes things fly to her crate to destroy. My husband and I have to make sure there is nothing within a three foot radius of her crate or it WILL get pulled in and shredded. Honor's legendary destruction moment has to be the day I came home and discovered that she taught herself how to let herself out of her crate...she shredded tons of things, the worst being that she pulled up vinyl tile off the kitchen floor. I about died, was SOOO glad that she didn't actually eat any of it (she's not a muncher, just a shredder), and then mourned my kitchen floor.
 
I do have to say that we probably shouldn't complain. My son's Border Collie shredded an entire couch. At least Shelties are more discriminating!
 
We had the exact same thing happen with the holes in the wall. He has chewed two more since, and bites on the window ledge from time to time.

Shoes, carpeting, hair, hands, feet, pant legs, chords, anything on the floor that can be put in his mouth at any time- have been some things hes been interested in but hasnt really destoryed yet. (Hes 10 weeks old, lets hope it stays that way)

Pig ears are a godsend though. :winkgrin:
 
Off the top of my head, the most memorable things Romeo has destroyed are a pair of glasses, my iphone case (from constantly pushing it off the bed with his nose like it's a game, sending it crashing to the floor) and a brand new set of surround sound speakers which become non-surround sound when Romeo happily chewed through the wires to the back speakers just as I had finished setting it up. Sigh. It was my fault really, I didn't cut off the tail ends of the cable ties holding the wires neatly, which were far too inviting for a pup.

Oh yes, I was thinking of buying a paper shredder but decided it was not necessary having remembered I have a sheltie who LOVES shredding paper/tissue. I should get him to earn his keep by giving him 10cents for every piece shredded! LOL!

Wow u guys r making me feel realky lucky. Besides the tissue buffet in the garbage can, the only thing Bailey ever destroyed was her puppy dog bed.

Shes 9 months old now.. i hope i didnt jinx myself
 
:lol:, I'm sorry but some of these stories of puppy chewing are hilarious and gave me a good morning chuckle :wink2:.

At 6 months, Megan hasn't been TOO terrible, but I am sure we still have time, right!? :uhoh:
 
Nickle has destroyed EVERY pair of headphones I've brought home. And to this day he pulls out one, just one, and never more than one, Kleenex and shreds it. Every day. I figure one Kleenex is better than the other things he could be eating on me. Like another pair of headphones.
 
Hah! A Belgian lace doily - thank you, Ally. And Asta the shred ex - any kind of paper - some receipts I needed...:rolleyes2:

Now once in a while I just give them each a cardboard TP roll and let them go to town. They don't like chew toys much except for rawhide but I only let them have that once a week or so.
