Techniques to generate excitement

I have no advice for this- I kinda have the opposite situation. Cran gets very excited at agility and I need to calm him a little so he can focus- not sure the best way to do that yet either :wink2:

The restrained recall while say "ready ready" gets my girls going. Along with the patting them on the side playfully while pushing them around.

There Maybe something else going on with him as well, because a month ago he was improving a lot and now it just seems like he's not into it at all. I have scheduled a checkup with the vet. At todays fun event he ran 1 course, half heartedly
then on the next 3 runs he was almost walking and refused jumps twice, He's never refused a jump ever, he doesn't appear to be in any pain that I can tell and I can't elicite any negative or painfull response from examining him myself , but he is a bit more listless then normal and seems Depressed ????.. so I think I might get some Bloodwork done.

I'd take him to a vet/chiro and get an adjustment. When our dogs start tapping bars....we get them adjusted and then they are great. He may be out of whack and it hurts to jump.

have his thyroid checked. i've seen a lot of agility dogs like that who have turned out to have a thyroid problem. its very common in shelties
