Teddy sprained his wrist

He is walking totally normal today and I am limiting his outside walking for the next 2 weeks.I am letting him visit the elderly lady on our block. She is in her 90s and really looks forward to his visits. And she is so cute as she give a him 3 Cheerios when she thinks we are not looking.
Wife was surprised he was happy to not go on their long walk today. He curled up in front of the fan and took a nap. :)

Glad Teddy is doing well-- that is the conundrum- how much care vs cost vs how serious things seem.. That answer will differ with each person. I have noticed as some have pointed out, that vet bill have really risen lately- eg. we recently got a double vaxx for our two dogs and the bill was $800- yeah there was a small exam that went along with that but wow oh wow oh wow that hurt. I am wondering if the fact that so many people are getting pet insurance where a lot of that cost is returned has encouraged vet clinic to up their prices?? We are about to take out cat in for removal of a basal cell carcinoma for the second time in a year and a half- the vet said these come back frequently- it will over a grand each time..again I don't want to imply that pet health is not important but it is a kick in the backside of our budget...

I don't see the problem, I will pay what ever it takes to take care of him.I can't take it with me.
When things get truly expensive I have gotten a second opinion. Miss April had a major cancer surgery when she was alive and I got quotes and interviewed Vets until I was happy before they did the surgery.
Between my wife's cats and Teddy, we keep 2 Vet Clinics as regular customers in case there is a problem. Both of which have after hours care.

Let me just say, having been a licensed Vet Tech in the 80's, that I CANNOT believe how far Vet medicine has come as far as its ability to care for pets. All kinds of scanning, in-house lab work with fast results, digital xrays (I used to stand in a darkroom to develop our film xrays) medications available, etc. It is truly revolutionary and of course, comes with a cost.
