Well, it's been 4 months of the "teenage phase." Bailey is now 10 1/2 months old and I think she is finally starting to phase out of being a teenager.
A lot of her old puppy habits crept back up and then would phase out in a week or so. Like picking up everything off the floor when we take a walk. She did this when she was a really young and then stopped at about 6 months old. She started doing this again around 9 months old, but she seems to have gotten over that habit about two weeks ago.
We haven't had potty accidents in a while. Pheww thank goodness.
She is also starting to understand my schedule and get with the program. She doesn't run around like a crazy dog when I'm eating dinner. She lays down, relaxes and waits till I'm done. She doesn't have an insane amount of energy as soon as she wakes up anymore. Actually when my alarm goes off, she doesn't even want to get up, but follows me downstairs and passes out in the kitchen. Some mornings she even too tired to out and potty. At night, she doesn't go crazy and ring the bell a thousand times because she's not tired. She now just goes to sleep.
But, don't be mistaken, she still has a lot of energy and is always up for playing and running around. She still has a ton of puppy quirks and I still do not trust her alone. She will still go through the garbage and loves to steal shoes and prance around the house with them. She still has plenty of puppy behavior left in her, but I think she is starting to calm down a little bit.
