Teeth scaling at home

For those that have those pick things to remove plaque from their dog's teeth, what are those pick things for, and what type of store do you get them?

Tully can't have additives or steak/meaty bones so she's getting a lot of build up, which is being exacerbated by being on high dose steroids. My old vet is part retiring and she always just picked the plaque off, the younger vets won't do it. So I thought I'd try myself. But I don't know what tools to get.

I think I may have seen them on Amazon but I've never used them. Check out Amazon Australia perhaps

My vet's office ordered a scaling tool for me when I asked. It wasn't expensive, I think around $20. I just used it yesterday on Eli. They don't like it but it really works. Even with teeth brushing stuff builds up....
