The boys are zonked out....

The weather at the cottage was fairly cool, and is cool in the city as well. So its not the heat getting to them.

They were pretty wild yesterday up at the cottage, but they've slept all day today and now that we are home, they keep on sleeping. Indy is laid out on the grass in the back and hasn't moved for 2 hours. He got up once to bark at some people walking by.

Bacca is laid out in the living room carpet - same thing. Both ate their supper, though Bacca was relunctant at first.

Are they just tuckered out, or should I be worried about them ingesting something or tick investation? How quickly does Lyme disease manifest itself? This is not normal.

Not sure -- but I don't think lyme hots that quickly. Sounds as if they're just whomped.

My guess is that they're whipped. All that pent up energy,from a long winter.

Cottage air versus city air - yep will tire out anyone, even a dog. They played hard yesterday? Yep tired out. Watch them for the next couple of days and they'll probably be back to normal.

Sounds like they're just exhausted....but it wouldn't hurt to do a quick tick check.

It took several days before Toulouse showed signs, and he's small and got hit pretty hard.

In an average sized sheltie, I'd think it'd be the same or even longer.

I'm starting to think that it is just all the new change in schedules. First the new house, then back to the weekend cottage schedule.

Bacca is funny about his food again, but I think he's just stressing out, in hindsight. Indy is panting even more than usual. But there has been so much upset for them in the last 45 days, I guess I should not be surprised. We are still working out the morning schedule in the new house. You would think that it wouldn't be a whole lot different, but moving from a two strorey to a bungalow actuallu malkes a huge difference. My morining routine is very different now.
