The slow erosion of trust.

I noticed this same behavior with my 3-year-old, Maxine. She is a registered therapy dog. Before the pandemic, she visited patients at the hospital and special needs children at a local school. Now these programs have all been suspended. She was always somewhat reserved but now she is very shy when meeting people. She has also become "barky" at home (that is the only place she usually barks). Living with 2 other shelties (one of them an 8-month-old) probably isn't helping. This has me wondering how long it will take her to get over this shy-with-people behavior (or if she ever will).

With so much concern for our dogs, it's nice when we see them being their normal carefree selves. Here's Willow playing with that very expensive toy, a paper towel tube, with her mom. She'd already done her five miles outside with my wife and me before this today.

Just like Finnie...his favourite toy! Lol
And love how Willow will run away with it when your wife pretends she’s going to grab it. Such a tease Willow:lol:!

Willow recommends "Cinnamon" for your puppy's name. Then when she's bad, you can call her "Cin". That Willow is such a tease... My only recommendation is you get counseling, preferably prior to you purchasing the new pup, but if not, you'll need it when little Cinnamon runs you ragged. :ROFLMAO:

lol Glenn...while I haven’t had counselling  I do talk to all my clients (I have 18 calls to clients every evening) and it’s hard to say no when I ask a client what I should do and they say things like “well you already have 2 dogs...what’s one more”. Another says “well the puppy needs a home anyways...why not yours?”
I should’ve gotten counselling 5 years ago when I got Piper...it’s too late for me now:ROFLMAO:
