Had an interesting thing happen today. Got up and my left chest was hurting for some strange reason especially nipple. It became more painful as the day went on so I had my wife check and she found a tick under the nipple. She dug and pulled and used the tick spoon but could not get it and it was excruciatingly painful- I have had broken wrists and knee replacements that were never this painful. I ended up going to urgent care where they numbed me a bit and with magnifying glasses on got the little bugger off of me-- deer tick . I think I probably got it when I de shed our pups on a daily basis. Not for sure. In my life I have had tick all over my globe but this was a first and I hope the last one there. Everyone loves a Shelite or should I say everything loves a Sheltie.

All better now thanks - yeah something I would not stand in line for. I found a dead tick on my male this morning so I am guessing it got down to the skin, took a bite and got nailed with nextgard. I hate the stuff but with so many ticks here and lyme disease all over the place it is a good choice.

Those darn tics are nasty. My husband had Lyme last year from a tic that was only on him a few hours. He was pretty ill.
I had 2 of them on me this year fortunately I was OK. They are everywhere.

Nasty ticks…I detest those ugly little suckers! Even here -35 C will not kill them…a few days of 0 C weather and they come back to life!
