Three months!!

Okay, it's official.. In three months I will be getting a Sheltie puppy.. However, I do not know who from. Lol I'm also getting a rescue. Does anybody know where the nearest Sheltie breeder is to billings Montana? Thank you!:smile2:
 
You don't, necessarily, need the nearest breeder, as much as you want the most reputable breeder. You must want a healthy sheltie puppy, with a stable temperament....right?
 
Here's a list of reputable breeders in the US provided by the ASSA, just pick the state.:winkgrin: Very happy for you, but do keep in mind that puppies aren't ready to go right when you call. There could be a puppy ready to go right now, or you may have to wait much more than just 3 months (some people wait up to a year or longer to get just the right dog).

Another thing to consider when getting more dogs is the cost of their vet bills. Dogs can get very expensive and since you have two dogs already, and one that is elderly, please make sure that you have enough money saved for unexpected vet bills. As most of us know, vet bills can run into the thousands.

Very Very true. Even 2 days at the emergency vet with nothing needed (though tests ran) other than fluids cost me $700. And all that was was a tummy bug but she was puking up blood.
