I used to spend the $60 per dog to get the K9 Advantix.
This year, I starting buying off-the shelf Zodiac Powerspot topical flea and tick ($15.99). My cottage is also in tick-zone central. So far, so good. No ticks, no fleas. Continuing to cross fingers and paws!

Was thinking I was getting somewhere with Zak but just checked over him again and found several little tiny ones. I have vaccumed twice already today. He has the preventic collar on and so does Maggie.
How often can you apply the DE? I have a friend that suggested Comfortis and another friend that said not to us it, as it is another chemical. j
We have found only one engorged one, this morning as it crawled across the floor. I am at my wits end right now.

did you bathe them yet? any shampoo will kill fleas and ticks- make sure they are sudsy all over and wait a couple minutes before you rinse....
that should take care of any on them and give the preventives a chance to work.
