Toxic breath

MORE so with kibble. It doesn't clean their teeth like manufacturers claim. That's a marketing gimmick.

Before criticising someone else you should perhaps back your own comments with evidence. It is just plain rude.

If you check with the vet dental specialists and the Journal you will find there have been studies showing hard kibble is better at reducing plaque accumulation. These studies led to the development of the new dental kibble - and the studies were not funded by the manufacturers.

Strictly speaking from personal experience, my last sheltie, that was always fed a holistic hard kibble, had HORRIBLE teeth and breath, to the point that it cost me hundreds to get his teeth cleaned and many teeth were pulled. (he did not let me 'brush' his teeth plus I did not like the ingredients in the doggie toothpaste - if it is not safe for me to use then its not safe for them either). My two now, that are fed raw, have very white teeth and their breath does not smell at all. In fact, other people (that have dogs) have commented on that. That is just my experience with dog breath, limited as it is.

Just remember, everyone has their own opinions and how you interpret it may not be how it was intended to sound. So one person may see it as rude and it may not be the way the other intended it to be.

We've also gone a bit off topic. We were talking about stinky puppy breath and teething...:smile2:
