Training: First Day Back (in a year!)

Glad you had a blast!! I have trained in a barn before too, it's actually not too shabby as long as it doesn't smell :ick. Honey goes through phases where I work her basically every 6 months or so and still remembers everything perfectly. As long as you like the training place and the trainer, I would definitely keep going there! Especially since it's cheaper :biggrin2:

No smell. But I think that's because although it was probably used as a barn with horses, there are no horses there. Just an agility training facility. :)

Actually, it's just cheaper to train in OR than CA. But OMG, the trainer was telling me that in WA, they are charging up to $30/class. Dang that's high!!

I can afford $15, at least for a bit. I'm just cutting back in other areas. ;)

Dang! Ya I hear you. I'm used to in PA paying $10 a class, down here I'm paying $12.50 so not much more, but adds up. Another Agility place by me though wanted me to pay 20/class. Uh. No! I do drive an hour to get to and from my class though. Perks of living in the middle of no where.

So happy for you that you found a place to start classes again! 15 minutes away....yay! Sounds like you should try this class for a while and move up, if it starts to be too easy for you guys. Best part of agility is seeing a normally crazy dog (ie: Lexi), out cold on the couch after a good class!!!

Thanks everyone. I'm glad it went well too. Sometimes you just don't mesh with trainers. Or you don't like their style. I emailed her this morning to tell her (the trainer) that I'll be joining her class. I'll take it session by session to see how things go. I think me and Koji need to get into shape again. I've been working out lately, but it hasn't kicked in yet, and it's not like I run. lol.

hurtseverywhere: I just thought about this. I think I'm feeling your name today. I am so sore. My thighs especially. I hate that, cuz it hurts to squat or go to the bathroom. LOL.

melbell: $10?!?!?! I want your class. Granted, I was driving almost an hour for my last class too. I admit, I love living where I do. I can to go ranches or farms (houses with land) within 15 mins outside of suburbia, maybe 20-30 mins outside of downtown. I want to live there! I think I need a job first though.

dmeyer123: I thought for sure I'd get some good sleep tonight. But I didn't. Miko kept me up. I just woke up from a "nap". I was out cold. Now that felt good too. I think Koji is still sleeping. LOL

seashel: It always feels good to find someone who can instantly spot what you need work on. That way, you don't have to remind them. It also means they'll spot all your errors, well, which is why I'm training, right? Right!
