Tri adult male Moreno Valley pound, CA

I am the proud owner of this guy and we named him Lucky. When I arrived at the shelter on the 8th, there were 2 other families wanting to adopt him. We were given tickets and they drew my number, which is one of the reasons we named him Lucky. I consider myself very lucky and blessed to have been able to adopt him.
He was neutered yesterday and I brought him home after that. We have a sheltie mix and they are getting along very well so far. He is still pretty dirty and matted, but my husband and I have been working on brushing him and getting him cleaned up. He's already got a grooming appointment scheduled in two weeks since we have to wait for his stitches heal and dissolve before getting him wet. His health is good according to the animal clinic where he was neutered. He's a big boy at 35 pounds, but is a beauty.
We've found that he enjoys picking up clothing or blankets left on the floor and brings them to me. He's a very affectionate dog and puts his nose underneath our hands so we will pet him.
Once he's been groomed, I will post some photos of him. Right now, he's wearing one of my daughter's L.A. Angels shirts so he won't bother with his incision. And he looks great in Angels red!

Hi!! We're practically neighbors. I live in Chino with my two sheltie girls. Glad you and Lucky found each other! Maybe we'll see each other at some Southern California Sheltie events... GO ANGELS!!!!

After a few days of brushing and brushing, Lucky is looking (and smelling!) so much better. With all of the dirt, pebbles and pine needles we have found on him, it makes me wonder what he had to go through while he was wandering the streets.

Lucky looks beautiful. It just amazes me that nobody was looking for him. I am so glad he found his forever home with you. I bet he feels much better smelling nice now. If he could talk I think he would have quite the story to tell about his adventures until now. Thank you for the new update with photo.

He looks wonderful. Such a handsome fellow. Thank you again for making him a part of your family...and for sharing him with us.....

He looks GREAT! (And I'm sure he feels even better) Kudos to you!

Wonderful! Lucky has cleaned up beautifully. I see it's win-win, for you and Lucky. Thanks for adopting this cutie pie Sheltie boy!

Wow. What a difference. I bet he feels like a whole new dog, that gets to live in a house to boot! I wonder how he'll feel after a bath. :)
