Trial weekend

Congrats for off leash Q and sounds like Cran tried for you but it just wasn't his day. I love that we can always give them another chance at the next dog show!

We had a good weekend, qualified and placed in every event we entered. I am so glad to get out of Novice in a weekend, heeling is the weakest skill we have. Maybe I do have two left feet! He sure goes wide on right and about turns.

However, he kept all four paws on the ground during the heel fast today, finally! However, he did not front on the novice recalls, in GO and Versa where he had a retrieve... He did fine fronts.

Now to rest and regroup, a three day trial takes alot out of us!

that is awesome that you Q'd in all the classes that you entered- Congrats.
as is turns out, Cran's stand for exam instead of sit was the biggest issue.

Today, Cran Q'd in Rally Advanced A and Dixie Q'd in Beginner Novice.
All three of their Q's were also first places...... of course, Dixie's rally- she was the only dog entered on her day. Cran actually had competition:winkgrin:

I do have a question for you- how do I keep Cran from barking while in the obedience ring? we lost points both days for it. he wasn't as bad in rally today as yesterday but the judge did tell me that she deducted for his barking..........

Dixie barks like crazy at home but not so much when we are out of her territory so she never made a peep in the ring...... hope that she can continue to do that.:fl

WooHOOO!!!! Congrats on your Q's!!!! GREAT JOB! Applause!!!

About the barking... boy, if we can find the answer to that we could write a book!

In training, I'll stop all interaction with him. We are a work in progress, we lose some points here and there too.

write a book and make a million:winkgrin:

I'll definitely have to remember that in practice- though I don't remember him barking as much there......
