Tristan is missing - NE PA

He ran out the front door on 9/4 when I went to go get something. I never let him out without a leash, but he just took off. Ran down the street, kept going. I have scoured the area, handed out dozens of fliers, contacted area shelters and police (and brought fliers to them), contacted area animal hospitals. He isn't chipped yet, we had just gotten him from the breeder 2 and a half months ago. He is shy and skittish, which is why we were initially having problems with him. But I thought we had made great progress. My phone is 516-982-2112
My heart is broken and i don't know what else to do.
He is 2 years old, not neutered, blue merle. I am in East Stroudsburg in the Poconos of northeast Pennsylvania.
I can't post a picture, apparently, or I don't know how, but I posted this classified in the local paper:

This just breaks my heart,I am so sorry to hear this news.I hope that with all the flyers & news paper listings he is spotted soon, and home soon.

We will keep you in our thoughts & prayers that he is found soon.

Thank you! Kelly, I emailed a picture of him.

This is all the more tragic because the Sheltie we had prior to Tristan was attacked and killed by a loose bull mastiff while my husband and daughters walked him. Leashed. The bull mastiff was not.

We also have an Australian Shepherd, she is doing fine and is very much a great love to us right now.

I'm so sorry to hear about Tristan.
Please send me a picture and I will post it onto the Lost Sheltie page on Facebook as well

so sorry to hear that your pup is lost.
there are few posts here about lost pups with great info/ links what was done/ could be done for search effort.
Is it possible he went to look for his breeder?

Sheltieche,
Perhaps he went to go find his breeder, but she is all the way in West Virginia, over 400 miles from here. hmmm..

Sending prayers to St. Anthony, saint of lost things, that you find Tristan very soon. We've a wide network here, and everyone will spread the word as far as possible. Keep the faith ~ Shelties are very resourceful.
