Tully is gone

I am so very sorry for your loss of Tully. Makes me cry.

I became enthralled with her when I first started here at SN long before I joined the forum and was simply stalking. Dear Tully... I've enjoyed following you and reading stories of you and your antics over the years; you were some grand gal and such a strong heart! Dear Caro... Your love for Tully, your care of her, we should all have such a companion in life as you were to both Tully and Deska. I am so very, very sad for you, your heartbreak.

RIP dear Tully...

So very sorry to hear the news, it brings back the pain we all have felt with we have lost a friend like this. 17 years what a wonderfully long time that I am sure seems like it went by so quickly. It is wonderful that both of you meant so much to each other. She will not be forgotten. the sorrow of their loss it a testament to what they meant to us-I know what a sad time this is, heavy heart and sense of loss. She was loved and she knew it and she had such a great life- thank you.

My heart is broken.

She hurt herself this morning, not sure what happened but she was in a lot of pain. Took her to ER as its Good Friday here. Once she had painkillers she settled and was happily walking around outside. But with it being Easter they thought the risk of having another pain episode was too great. Six weeks shy of 17yrs.

I feel so lost. Tully and Deska came to me after I was assaulted and lost my job and my future. Tully was my hope and she taught me to live again.

Caro, I have no way to really show you how devastated I am to hear this. Tully was a legend here at Sheltie Nation and held a special place in my heart. I can only offer her one last gift:

Dear St. Francis,
An incredible Sheltie stepped onto the grass of the heavenly meadow this past Good Friday. Tully was more than someone's pet. Tully was a heroine who quite literally rescued her beloved Caro when she was in a very tough point in her life. Through her blithe spirit, her loving nature and her sweet sense of mischief, Tully helped Caro recover and regain her joie de vivre. She became a celebrity on Sheltie Nation, someone whose adventured always brought a smile. We all worried when her years began to catch up with her, knowing that her departure would bring such pain. Now Tully is with you, in a place where she can run and play and eat as much as she wants. She can keep an eye on Caro, as she did in life. Please, St. Francis, ask the Good Shepherd to comfort Caro and help Tully understand that to her, it will seem but the twinkling of an eye until they are together again.
In His name we ask,
Amen
