UKC too!

Many months and a few hard working people and we now have a UKC obedience club in north GA. To celebrate, we went to a recent obedience trial in SC and came home with our UCD, two placements, and a lesson learned. :)

The local Peach State UKC Club will host their first trial this September and we hope Bobby will easily pass his UCDX, then we can get to the fun UKC utility exercises!

Do any of you play UKC obedience?
 
I play in UKC obedience and I love love love it. :smile2: It is my favorite obedience venue. Utility is a blast. So different from AKC and when you get that UUD you know you earned something. I have known AKC OTCH and UDX dogs that could not earn a UKC UD. The glove exercises are my all time favorite thing to teach.

I started in UKC with my mix breed Jazz. She couldn't compete anywhere else but ASCA at the time so it is dear to my heart. Jazz got her UCD, Justice is a UKC Grand Obedience Champion, Ember has her UUD and is just starting on her UOCH. Diva will play too soon.
 
I wish we were not in different parts of the country! But, because we are, I have a special favor to ask...

I brought my puppy home last night and would like your permission to call name my puppy "JustUs" pronounced like Justice, but spelled differently.

Would you mind????

Congrats on the new puppy. By all means name him Justus.

Funny story, Justice was not orginally my guys name. His brother was named Justice. His was Indepenence(Indy). They were born the 4th of July weekend. I loved the name Justice and so did not want my new obedience dog named Independence.:lol: Well, when his brother went home his new owners changed his name to Walker. I said if you don't want it I'm taking it. I think it is a great name for a dog. Beware though he will likely become the fun police as you know they tend to live up to their names.:wink2: Says the lady with the dog named Diva(I did it anyway)

Since you are not a premium member you can post pictures using a site like shutterfly or photobucket and post the link here. But you can join as a premium member for 25$ and then you can make a album on site and attach photos to the post. It's also helps Kelly keep the site going. Whatever, you choose we'd love to see pictures of him. You should start another thread and introduce him.:smile2:
