Ultrasonic flea/tick protection?

All the scientific studies I've read indicate it is a total scam.
Of course my wife bought on recently on her nightly Amazon jaunts and really believe it works.
Its winter.

Years ago I got a couple ultrasonic doo-dads on some sale really cheap that both worked.
One you attached to dog's collar and then leash, and if they pulled on leash it would give an ultrasonic chirp.
That actually worked really, really well, and it doubled as a hand-held dog call if he decided to visit the neighbors.

Other one was a small plastic bird house anti-bark. Seemed to work, but I'd already had him mostly trained to no bark on command. It usually worked.
Sister is using it currently on their GSD/Lab mix who is very excitable and bark crazy.
Battery is now dead, and all they have to pick it up so he sees it and he shuts right up.
Think I'll just take a battery over tomorrow.

I know some people disagree, however I taught bark shortly after sit, and No bark seems to have been successful.
Can't believe so many vids of people's Shelties uncontrolled barking. Training early and consistently has payed off with a decade+ of relative quiet.

I’ve tried training no bark with Finnie…he’s 50/50 on it. I don’t know if it actually works or it’s just him randomly not barking lol. My other two forget it…when someone walks by on the public sidewalk they go crazy…heck sometimes they go out the door barking even when there’s nothing there!
I’ve heard about that ultrasonic birdhouse (several years ago)…maybe that would work for my dogs lol.
I do find when Finnie is barking like crazy if I yell at him to come he outright ignores me. If I say Finnie come very softly in a high pitch he comes running right away and stops barking. If nothing else I now realize I don’t have to yell for all the neighbours to hear!

Mine will listen to the command "ENOUGH" sometimes but with certain things there is no let up. Today there were going crazy and I tried to get them to calm down to no avail and later realized it was the Prime guy.. Mine are about 40/60 with the command but a chirp from the sonic blaster usually brings them running to see what's up. It is also followed by the command enough or no bark.
