Unusual look?

Shes cute, defiantly a heavy white factor going on there. I did in my past litter have one girl who had those markings unfortunately she must have been a late development and wasnt ready to come out yet as she was very small and didnt make it, but she too had the spot on her head, infact the few days she was with us we called her spot

She's got an extradinarily wide blaze which is very striking. And I love her colour. My boy has red to him as well, which I gather is not too common.

It's so nice to see outside the ordinary. Sables are still my first choice, but I like distinct sables, if this makes any sense. I generally prefer the lighter shades of sables - blondes and reds, maybe because they are less common.

I think the extra wide blaze and unique color of her coat are what make her so unique looking.

My Sadie is white factored also, but has no white on her face. You can see that like your girl, Sadie has the full white collar, white front legs and white that goes the length of her body and down her back legs. You can't see it in this photo, but the tip of her tail is white too.

You have a pretty girl, and yes, she might not be what you might find in the show ring, but diversity makes life worth living. I have 2 boys who both have uncharacteristic qualities. Both are sable merle and both looked alike as young puppies. Baagi looks like a Sable now at 6 months, but lacks his tail because at 3 days a vet tech thought the pups Assie's because of the merle markings and took his tail, and Ollie who blew his puppie coat and as left with a coat that looks like he had a "close encounter" with a bottle of bleach. The way the "standard" says a dog should looks doesn't take into consideration of what the dog is. These are such a smart and willing breed that they could be pink or green in color and we, who know the breed, I would hope wouldn't shun a sheltie of a different color. You can see photos of my boys, if you haven't already, by looking for the thead "my tied dyed sheltie"

some of the pics aren't correct, but she has a red touch in her colour. I would call her goldenred, not goldenyellow (not really sure what you call it in english ).
But i love her colour! She was very pale as a pup, so i never would have guessed that she would be so colourful as an adult! :smile2:

This pic is kind of ok when it comes to show her real colours. But if the sun shines on her fur it really glowes! http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n170/chanku/pix557.jpg
