upcoming spay/hernia surgery..

We'll be sending good thoughts for Belle next week. Hope everything goes smoothly and she heals quickly. You will probably need that nice, warm coat!

I was thinking also that it might be a good idea to get her a t-shirt.. otherwise my main concern was that I didn't want to take her to the vet office in the car because last car ride was the first one where she didn't get carsick. Didn't want her to associate the car with the vet. This morning it came to me what we can do. Husband can drive us to the little mall down the road from the vet office, and I can walk her the rest of the way. I know that Belle is going to wonder why she isn't being fed after her morning walk on Monday.. the vet is going to make her surgery the only one that day.

That sounds like a great plan. I got Gypsy a few t-shirts in the childrens dept in walmart this summer. They are a perfect fit. I think I got large to cover the length of her whole belly with still a little room to fold under.

Good luck to Belle....hope all goes well for her....and you! I had no idea a sheltie could lose (blow??) her coat after spaying....Give her a good luck kiss on the nose for me!
