Upcoming Trials

I've only figured out our schedule through the end of the year. A one-day AKC trial Oct 23, two-day AKC 1st weekend in Nov and two days USDAA the second weekend in Nov. There's a December AKC trial down south that I'll probably skip. But, I may break my boycott of overnight trials by going to Amarillo, TX to an AKC trial over New Years.

Most of the NM trials for 2011 aren't showing up on AKC events, yet. I think locally there's one or two a month starting in Feb, and also a USDAA in March.

I was looking at my calendar too. It seems nothing really for Jan-Mar yet. Mostly a lot of 2011 April, May, Oct, Nov. Strange. Maybe that's a good thing. It'll stop me from planning out Jan-Mar already. LOL

Really glad to know I'm not alone here.

we're planning too- but trying to work around my work/sea schedule. I want Cran to go to a herding trial in early March and my club has an agility tiral in mid-March. my trainer says Cran could do the match right before the trial. and we are looking more at obedience/rally than agility at the moment. Cran has lots more to learn before an actual trial- we've only finished class #2 of his beginning agility class :smile2:

I have two more trials planned for this year, both TDAA. November and December are too crazy for travel and getting ready for the holidays for me to really do much trialing. There is also the fact that the weather during the winter months is VERY hit and miss when it comes to snow and ice. I'm not all that far from the "snow belt" for the Great Lakes.

Hello Cheryl, I am also an agility planning addict.

I just completed my excel spreadsheet comp/trial calander for 2011! Yep, I know now what trials I will be doing in December next year. Havent got the dancing with dogs schedules yet, and I am yet to factor in a holiday, cant sleep properly until I have planned, planned, planned.

I mean, how else do people organise their lives...

I have no idea how people organize their lives. I too have to have a calendar. Sadly, I'm starting to think the spreadsheet may be a good idea. The other day I couldn't recall if I had sent in my premium (as they don't typically cash the checks until they get closer to the trial date). I need to keep track of these things, otherwise, I may send in 2 checks. ;)

Time to create.

Cheryl, you can track that in the Agility Records tool you already use. When you got to enter a new Trial, you can mark whether or not you sent the premium or reserved a hotel, etc yet.

Oh cool. Granted, then I'd have to 2 calendars, but that is awesome. I didn't know that. lol. I probably looked at the calendar feature prior to really trialling and though i don't need that, duh. now that the addiction is full blow, i need it. :rolleyes2:

I'm sure I can find this info on their website, but do you know why a future trial has ?? next to it's name even though I made it confirmed? If not, no biggie, I'll go look it up later.

Thanks!
