Update: Knuckle Dragging Sheltie

From what your describing, I'm picturing a canine version of HYPP, without the tremors. Is that what it is or am I just stuck on muscle bound=halter bred bulldog horse?

Good luck- Olive was at the same clinic (I'm assuming from your description) last night. DH was *very* impressed by the set up. Olive liked the comfy chairs in the exam rooms.

Yes, very similar to HYPP. Can you believe there is a form of human muscular dystrophy called Beckers Disease? I mean, c'mon, what are the odds?

Yep, that's the clinic -- named originally for the three left-handed veterinarians who founded the place.

To add, I'm glad I can fill the Roger Rabbit role here: To paraphrase the words of the immortal Jessica, "She makes me laugh."

Oh wow, I'm assuming it's too early to know who he inherited it from? I can't imagine going through it- at least with HYPP we know how to avoid and eliminate it (it's not going to happen without something drastic changing but that's a separate issue.)

I couldn't figure out how it got its name. But that's clever! DH was telling me again how much it impressed him.

So does the Colonel get a tank instead of a wheel chair if he needs one (which hopefully it is something else entirely)

From all of us here in SC,sending hugs!!:hugs

Late to the post about Beckon, too much rain in Jersey this summer has left my brain all soggy.

We are sending many good thoughts for the Colonel and you.

Just love the way that your vet put his forehead down to Beckon, our new vet did same and it put all of us at ease. He is Dr. Tomash from Budapest, how cool is that?

Hugs,

Kate
