Spencer, my epi-dog, ended up being admitted to the emergency Vet Hospital on November 25th because I wasn’t able to stop his first experience with cluster GM’s with the rectal Valium I administered. We had a very difficult time with a total of four admissions between 11/25/08 and 12/13/08 (a total of 16 actual days in the ICU at the hospital). He came home on December 15th from the Dec.13th admission and so far - so good!
I am cautiously optimistic that we are heading in the right direction to get things at least somewhat controlled.
But I must admit that I keep waiting for something else to happen.
The Neurologist has reduced the amount of PB, left the Kbr the same and increased the Zonisimide from two times a day to three times a day. He is once again behaving like a typical Sheltie - bringing his toys to me, chasing and playing with the cats, and his favorite activity- barking.
I am grateful. Maybe somebody up there is watching over my boy.
