Ups and Downs with Yogi

teehee! Poor Yogi!

(Is that a stuffed sheltie on the bed in the background?!)

Well spotted! It's a life sized collie I got a couple of years back:wink2:

I had to laugh that you all think he looks like a lion! In the past, several kids have commented at various times that Yogi was a lion. The weirdest occasion was when we were walking along the perimeter fence of a safari park!:eek2: I guess all the hair at the front does help distract from the lack at the back end now:winkgrin:

He's getting really fed up with no playing now and dreadfully bored. Hopefully after the stitches come out on monday he can start going back to normal. I can't wait to bath him either as he really needs it but I don't know how soon I'll be allowed to.

Yogi update

Yogi had his stitches out today:biggrin2: The vet was amazed how quickly his hair was growing back and pleased with how well everything is progressing. Now Yogi can have a bit more freedom although his walks are still restricted for the next month but he is delighted to be allowed on the sofa again ( I haven't dared let him jump up before).

He has finished with the donut too:biggrin2:. It's mine to keep but I am hoping I can put it away forever!

There's been so many ups and downs since this started that even though I know he has been fixed, I hardly dare let myself believe that everything really is going to be ok from now (barring the breakdown of the repair which will hopefully NOT occur). I have been given an 80% chance this will be sucessful, which I think is good for surgery of this nature. Fingers crossed there will only be 'ups' with Yogi from now on!

Glad to hear Yogi got his stitches out and is progress fine.

The picture of him in his doughnut reminds me of Ember in her cone. Its the same disgruntled look. Bet he is glad to be done with that. Definitely keep it. I have a theroy that as long as you have it you won't need it, get it away and you'l need it the next day.The clinic I worked for in High school had a excellent long time client that would pay her bill off except for $1. She refuse to pay the $1 stating that as soon as she paid off her bill, she would rack up another one. We humored her as after the first dollar, she always paid in full. :smile2:

Everything crossed for Yogi to keep healthy and hearty:wink2:I bet he is pleased to be back on the sofa again!
